THE DETAIL
SESSIONS:
Sessions will be for 50 minutes starting at the agreed time. We can work face-to-face or remotely (by telephone or secure video link). They will usually be weekly but we will discuss what would work best for you. In the first session we will discuss how we will work together and sign an agreement to summarise this. The number of sessions depends on each situation. We will review our work regularly to ensure that your needs are being met.
HOW TO BOOK:
Email, telephone or complete the enquiry form so that we can arrange to discuss your needs and book a session at a suitable time and location.
LOCATION:
Beaconsfield Old Town. Parking available.
PAYMENT: I ask that payment is made 48 hours in advance of each session so that I am able to confirm my room bookings. Payment can be made by cash of bank transfer. I will provide bank details at the time of booking.
CONFIDENTIALITY:
The content of your counselling sessions will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone unless (1) you consent for me to do so (2) I am required to do so by law (3) I believe that you, or somebody else, is at serious risk of harm. In these rare cases I would have to break confidentiality and I will let you know that I will need to pass on information. I will involve you in this process as much as I can.
PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE:
I am a recognised therapist for AXA PPP healthcare, Aviva and Vitality Heath. This work is undertaken with prior agreement. Please call to discuss arrangements.
FEES:
£65 for daytime week day session
£70 for sessions from 5pm and weekend sessions
Insurance work is undertaken by negotiation, please enquire.
ENHANCED DBS CERTIFICATE:
I have a certificate from the disclosure and barring service to show that I have no criminal convictions.
INSURANCE, PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION:
I am fully insured and have public liability insurance. I will comply with the 2018 General Data Protection Regulation (GDRR). For full details please see my privacy statement.
ACCESSIBILITY:
There is wheelchair access in my Beaconsfield therapy room.
CANCELLATION:
I will give you as much notice as possible if I am unavailable for sessions due to illness or holiday. If a client is unable to attend a session I ask that at least 24 hours notice is provided. If less than this is given a cancellation fee of £25 is payable. In circumstances where a client gives less than an hours notice of cancellation, or no notice at all, then the full session fee will be charged.
ETHICS:
I am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). As such I am bound by their code of ethics and am subject to its complaint procedure. Details can be found at www.bacp.co.uk.
